2023 Bentley Bentayga Gets Long-Wheelbase Version

The Bentayga was probably the world’s first super-luxury brand to offer an SUV and that model, known as Bentayga, is still on the market. Moreover, it often brings yearly updates. The 2020 model received a facelift, while the 2022 model came with the new S trim, which provides a sportier ride. Now, the 2023 Bentley Bentayga brings the new version called EWB, which is essentially a stretched version of the SUV, designed to provide extra space for the passengers.

Other than that, the 2023 Bentley Bentayga continues in a familiar way. This is a super-luxurious SUV, with the incredible build quality, super-smooth ride and pretty capable engine options. Speaking of the engines, the 2023 Bentley Bentayga will continue in three familiar variants, including a hybrid powertrain. The new model has already been presented and we believe it will hit the market this fall.

2023 Bentley Bentayga Design

As we’ve just mentioned, the biggest novelty for the next year is the version called EWB. It is a stretched version of the SUV, which gains 7 inches in the wheelbase. So, the total distance between the axles is now 125 inches, which is quite impressive. There are a few more upgrades, including active anti-roll bars, as well as rear-wheel steering, which should help with maneuvers in tight spaces.

On the other hand, the base version continues in the same way. This SUV rides on a familiar MLB platform, borrowed from models like Audi Q7 and Porsche Cayenne. However, it brings significant upgrades, particularly in terms of the suspension setup, so the ride remains incredibly smooth.

Visually, the 2023 Bentley Bentayga will continue with the same updated design from 2020. That update brought new 3D elliptical tail-lights with animated LEDs, while the rear number plate was repositioned onto the bumper. This update also brought oval-shaped split tailpipes, heated wipers with 22 washer jets in each arm, and an optional Blackline visual package, full of black chrome details.

Interior

The new 2023 Bentley Bentayga also brings novelties to the inside. Despite that the wheelbase aw been stretched significantly, there won’t be third-row seating. Instead, this super-luxury version puts focus on the rear passengers and brings upgraded seats and significantly more legroom. You can notice new diamond ambient lighting but there are also far more important updates, such as new seats that recline up to 40 degrees, as well as a footrest behind the front passenger seat. There is a massive center console between the rear seats, which also offers new massaging functions.

Base models will continue in the same way. Therefore, you may count on a super-luxurious cabin with the excellent build quality. The seats are incredibly comfortable, while we particularly like the materials. Of course, the attention to detail is excellent, while there is also a fair amount of tech features. Of course, one of them is a 10.2-inch infotainment screen, which isn’t the biggest in the class but works just fine. The rear passengers can get two 10-inch screens as well.

The sound insulation is excellent, while the driving position provides excellent visibility in all directions. The ergonomics are great, while the front seats offer incredible comfort and support. The standard-wheelbase version also offers plenty of room for the rear passengers. The standard 12-speaker audio system works well but we would definitely go for the optional 20-speaker unit.

2023 Bentley Bentayga Engines

The engine lineup remains the same, so you may count on three familiar engine options. Once again, the cheapest model will come with a hybrid powertrain. That version uses a system that combines a turbocharged V6 engine with electric motors, for the combined output of 443 horsepower. While that seems OK in terms of performance, we have no doubt that the V8 is a much better choice. That model features a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with 542 horsepower. With all that power, you may count on a 0-60 sprint in just 3.5 seconds.

Finally, there is the massive 6.0-liter W12 engine, which is good for about 600 horsepower. Besides plenty of power and excellent performance, this engine is incredibly smooth, which is its main advantage over the V8. Otherwise, the performance is quite similar.

All models come with 8-speed automatic transmission. Of course, the hybrid is the most efficient but the other two offer relatively decent fuel economy as well. The V8 returns around 13 mpg in the city and 17 mpg on the highway, while the W12 is good for about 12 mpg in the city and 17 mpg on the highway.

2023 Bentley Bentayga Release Date and Price

We expect that the 2023 Bentley Bentayga will hit the market this fall, with a starting price of around 167.000 dollars. That’s the price for the hybrid model. For V8 power, you will have to pay at least $191.000, while models with a W12 engine should start at around 263.000 dollars.
