Next year, RAM will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the legendary Power Wagon nameplate and for that occasion, we are about to see some interesting novelties. The company has prepared a new special edition, which will bring a lot of exclusive details, especially in terms of aesthetics.
On the other hand, the overall layout won’t change. The 2022 RAM 2500 Power Wagon will continue with familiar features and design characteristics, offering a capable off-roader in a heavy-duty package. This means not just capable engines but also a full load of off-road hardware. We expect that the next year’s model will debut by the end of 2021.
2022 RAM 2500 Power Wagon 75th Anniversary Edition
The biggest novelty for the next year will be the introduction of the 2022 RAM 2500 Power Wagon 75th Anniversary Edition. With this model, the company will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the legendary Power Wagon nameplate. Compared to standard models, we will see a bunch of exclusive details and features.
You can notice a couple of pretty interesting exterior details, such as 17-inch bead-lock wheels and rock rails, as well as power-folding side mirrors with memory, power-adjustable auxiliary sections, LED projector headlamps, body-color handles etc.
On the inside, you may count on exclusive features like a combination of black and aluminum trims, power-adjustable seats, power-adjustable pedals, 17-speaker audio system. A 12-inch infotainment screen is standard, while both rows of seats are heated and ventilated.

On the other hand, the overall design will remain the same. The 2022 Power Wagon will come with familiar exclusive features, that characterized previous model years as well. Compared to the standard 2500 model, the Power Wagon comes with upgrades like black exterior badging and fender flares, black headlight and taillight bezels, powder-coated front and rear bumpers, 17-inch wheels with all-terrain tires etc. There are also off-road upgrades like performance-tuned shock absorbers, disconnecting front sway bar, hill descent control, locking differentials, skid plates etc.
On the inside, you can find a couple of extra features as well, such as rubber floor mats, power-adjustable cloth seats, as well a unique color scheme. On the other hand, the overall cabin layout isn’t much different compared to the rest of the lineup.
Engines
The 2022 RAM 2500 Power Wagon will continue with a familiar 6.4-liter V8 HEMI engine, which puts out around 410 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. The engine comes in a combination with an 8-speed automatic transmission, which does a pretty fine job. The whole setup feels capable and refined.
We can also hear rumors about the diesel version of the Power Wagon. At this point, the officials are still quiet but there is a chance to see a 6.7-liter inline-six turbodiesel offered as well. That engine comes in two output variants with either 370 horsepower and 850 pound-feet of torque, or 400 horsepower and 1.075 pound-feet of torque. Also, it uses a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Release Date and Price
We expect that the 2022 RAM 2500 Power Wagon will hit the market by the end of this year. Base versions should cost around 63.000 dollars. The price for the 75th Anniversary Edition is still a mystery.
